This site has been created and maintained by myself, Russell Ballantine,
as an online outlet for some of the music projects I have been involved with over the years. As
well as a history as a blues guitarist I am also an experienced ensemble performer having
played in quartets,trios and duos for many years, most recently as one third of the trio Terz, who's CD 'The
Music of the Stuarts 'received excellent reviews. Unfortunatly the Terz Classical guitar trio are no more and I now play as
one half of the folk influenced Albanach guitar duo. In the last few years, after hearing Tony McManus at the
Dundee guitar festival, I have developed a deep interest in celtic music and its performance on the guitar. I
hope you find something of interest on this site.
